iPhone the biggest handset in terms of mobile internet usage

AdMob has released some interesting statistics from October,which show that the iPhone is by far the biggest handset in terms of mobile internet usage.The statistics are based upon how many requests were made by each of the various mobile OS.The iPhone was out and out the single largest player in the field. On a global level the iPhone alone accounted for 50% of smartphone traffic, whilst that figure rose to 55% in the U.S. Coming in at a distant second place was HTC with 22%. The iPhone’s performance in the UK is even more impressive, account for 74% of all smartphone traffic. Nokia was the runner-up in the UK, but a very distant runner up with just 10% of smartphone traffic, a good 64% behind the iPhone.
